The old dog door that I had installed was higher up, and I had to put a little stepstool in front of it in order to allow access for my little ones to get out the door, which was a pain in the butt and then the magnet didn’t work half the time we get a cold breeze coming into the room during the winter. But with this new dog Door, they can walk in and out easily without having to get on a stepstool very convenient for me so I wouldn’t have to move stepstools out of the way to enter for exit our door. Because the design of the new door was a little different from the old door, which I love the new doorsIt took me a while to get the two little ones to go out but now that they’ve learned to go out it’s awesome. The initial consultation answered all of our questions. We have Anderson doors with the triple locking mechanisms. So we didn’t want to change out the frame when getting dog doors. No worries, Utah Pet Access changed out the window pane, added the dog door and the whole installation took maybe an hour and a half to two hours. The installation tech was personable efficient and answered the few questions we came up with. We went with the door that has two vertical windows/ doors within one frame, and it and locks if we need it too. We’ve been through one winter and a very warm summer. There are no weather related issues whatsoever associated with having the dog doors, and what a life saver. If we’re gone from home longer than expected, we don’t have to worry about the dogs not being able to get out and take care of their business. It only took our two dogs a day or so to get use to going in and out. They like having the freedom to come and go at their leisure. One last BIG benefit is there have been no more “in the middle of the night” wake up calls from the dogs for us to let them out. Quality is top tier, worth every penny and we’re so glad we had Utah Pet Access install the doggy door. It looks great too! No regrets whatsoever.

We have absolutely loved our dog door. We have always used an insert and with that comes giving up space. Whenever we had people over and they would go through our sliding glass door, They all commented on how very little Space there was going through the door. There have been many times trying to take items outside and we have to take the insert out because there isn’t enough room. It’s such a hassle. We have used Utah Pet Access at both of our houses. I love that they bring a new door with the doggie door cut into the glass and we get to keep our original glass. At our first house, we had to have a custom glass insert made because of the plastic pieces that were in the glass door. It was a perfect match to the rest of the door.
